Tips for Enjoying the Labor Day Weekend Alcohol-Free

Going to a LDW party where alcohol is flowing? Here are some tips to feel confident and prepared:

  1. Bring Your Own Drinks: Don’t rely on the host to have non-alcoholic options. Bring a fun mocktail or a pack of your favorite NA beer.

  2. Have a Go-To Response: If people ask why you’re not drinking, keep it simple “I’m just taking a break,” or “I feel better without it” works great.

  3. Find a Like-Minded Friend: Chances are, someone else is skipping alcohol too. Having a non-drinking friend makes the experience even better.

  4. Enjoy the Food: Let’s be real, the food is one of the best parts of Labor Day BBQs. Focus on the burgers, corn on the cob and dips!
