Non-alcoholic beer has come a long way from the days of bland, watery options. Now, there are plenty of craft breweries and big brands offering flavorful, complex, and satisfying non-alcoholic beers that taste just as good as their alcoholic counterparts. This is my guide that will help you navigate the world of NA beer.

Now, there are TONS of NA Beers on the market. These lists are made up of ones that I have found and enjoyed. I will continue to update this list as I try new NA beers.

Why is there <.5% alcohol in some non-alcoholic beer?
Non-alcoholic (NA) beer contains less than 0.5% alcohol because of how it’s made. The brewing process for NA beer is similar to regular beer, which naturally produces some alcohol during fermentation. To make it "non-alcoholic," most of the alcohol is removed through one of the following methods:
Heat Removal:Â Alcohol has a lower boiling point than water, so brewers heat the beer to evaporate the alcohol. However, some traces remain.
Vacuum Distillation:Â Lowering the pressure reduces the boiling point of alcohol, allowing it to be removed without overheating the beer.
Filtration:Â Some breweries use specialized membranes to filter out alcohol.
Despite these methods, it's nearly impossible to remove every trace of alcohol, which is why NA beer has less than 0.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). This level is considered safe for most people and is comparable to naturally occurring alcohol in some foods like bread or fruit juices.
Where to Buy
Major Grocery Stores: Most large supermarkets carry a selection of NA beers.
Liquor Stores & Specialty Beverage Shops: Some liquor stores now stock a good selection of NA beer.
