So What is Tequila Alternative?

Non-alcoholic tequila alternatives are made to mimic the taste, aroma, and slight burn of traditional tequila. Think of them like the NA version of spirits: crafted to deliver that same complex flavor you’d expect in a margarita!

Non-alcoholic tequila alternatives are perfect for those who love the bold, earthy, and slightly smoky flavors of traditional tequila. These substitutes are crafted to mimic the essence of tequila, making them ideal for mocktail versions of your favorite tequila-based drinks.

Favorite brands to try:

NOTE: Please consult your health care provider if you have questions on consuming non-alcoholic wine that has less than .5% alcohol. This is NOT health advice.

What to Replace Tequila Alternative if you don't have it:

If you prefer, you can omit the tequila alternative and enjoy the mocktail as is. It will still have the vibrant citrus flavors of a traditional margarita. Just add another 1oz of orange juice or add another flavor like pineapple, mango, or strawberry! You can also replace it with sparkling water or coconut water. Add some jalapeños if you want some kick!

Pair Your Margaritas with These Mexican-inspired dishes

Pairing your margarita mocktails with great food makes everything even better. Here are some ideas for what to serve with each style:

  • Classic Margarita: Tacos al pastor, guacamole, or elote (Mexican street corn)

  • Strawberry Margarita: Grilled shrimp tacos or a citrusy jicama salad

  • Spicy Cucumber Margarita: Ceviche, veggie tostadas, or spicy salsa and chips

  • Bell Pepper Margarita: Fajita bowls, sweet potato enchiladas, or grilled veggie tacos

  • Coconut Margarita: Fish tacos, coconut rice, or mango salsa

  • Blood Orange Margarita: Chicken tinga, tamales, or citrus-marinated tofu

  • Blackberry Margarita: Carnitas, black bean tacos, or even something sweet like churros!
