Non-Alcoholic Blackberry Margarita

Updated: Jun 3

I’ve been seeing blackberry margaritas everywhere lately, and you know I had to jump in with a Mocktail Girlie version. This one is seriously stunning! The deep, jewel-toned color alone makes it feel fancy. But let’s talk flavor: sweet, tart, and super refreshing with just a little kick (thanks to the spicy limeade I used 👀).

Blackberries add a rich, slightly tangy layer that balances so well with the citrus and a touch of sweetness. This non-alcoholic blackberry margarita feels like the perfect drink for spring and summer, but honestly, I’d sip it any time of year.

Ingredients

• handful of blackberries

• 1/2 a lime: juiced

• 1/2 oz agave

• 1 oz NA tequila alternative (favorites here)

-if you don't have this, use sparkling water, coconut water, orange juice

• 3 oz limeade or orange juice (I used Trader Joe's spicy limeade)

• salt rim

How to Make It:
  1. Start by muddling your blackberries in a shaker or glass until they’re nice and juicy.

  2. Add the lime juice, agave, NA tequila, and limeade (or OJ).

  3. Fill with ice and shake well.

  4. Rim your glass with salt if you're into that salty-sweet balance (I always am).

  5. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice or go no-strain if you don’t mind the blackberry bits.

  6. Garnish with a few blackberries or a lime wedge and enjoy!

Other Notes
  • Don’t have limeade? Use orange juice for a slightly sweeter, more mellow version.

  • Want it extra cold and a little slushy? Blend it with ice!

  • If your blackberries aren’t super juicy, you can add a splash of water when muddling to help things along.

  • Want to make it a little fancier? Add a splash of sparkling water or club soda on top for a little fizz.

So What is Tequila Alternative?

Non-alcoholic tequila alternatives are made to mimic the taste, aroma, and slight burn of traditional tequila but with zero alcohol. Think of them like the NA version of spirits: crafted to deliver that same complex flavor you’d expect in a margarita, without the booze.

So to be clear .. These alternatives are 0.0 ABV! They are not like NA beer and wine!

Non-alcoholic tequila alternatives are perfect for those who love the bold, earthy, and slightly smoky flavors of traditional tequila. These substitutes are crafted to mimic the essence of tequila, making them ideal for mocktail versions of your favorite tequila-based drinks.

What to Replace Tequila Alternative if you don't have it:

If you prefer, you can omit the tequila alternative and enjoy the mocktail as is. It will still have the vibrant citrus flavors of a traditional margarita. Just add another 1oz of orange juice or add another flavor like pineapple, mango, or strawberry! You can also replace it with sparkling water or coconut water. Also, you can add some jalapeños if you want some kick!

This mocktail is perfect for a weekend brunch, a summer happy hour, or just treating yourself on a Tuesday. It’s beautiful, simple, and totally delicious.
