Five Summer Mocktails You Need To Make

When it’s hot out, nothing hits quite like a cold, refreshing drink in your hand. And for me, that drink doesn’t need to have alcohol to be the moment. Whether you’re by the pool, on a patio, hosting a girls' night, or just vibing in your kitchen, these five summer mocktails are easy to make, totally delicious, and mood-boosting.

There’s something for everyone on this list. And if you’re new to mocktails, welcome! Summer is the perfect time to get started!

Why Mocktails Are Perfect for Summer

Mocktails and summer are a match made in hydration heaven. Fresh fruit, herbs, citrus, sparkling water, and just the right touch of sweetness. Unlike cocktails (which can be dehydrating), these drinks can actually help you feel better while you sip. I don’t go overboard on sugar, and most of these recipes are made with fresh ingredients you might already have in your kitchen or garden.

They’re refreshing, colorful, easy to batch, and perfect for everyone. You deserve a drink that feels special and these deliver.

Mocktail 101: How to Start Making Mocktails This Summer

There's no better time to start than right now. Here are a few tips to get you going:

  • Start with fresh ingredients: Citrus, berries, herbs, and seasonal fruits are the building blocks of a great mocktail.

  • Invest in a few essentials: A shaker (or mason jar), citrus juicer, and some pretty glassware go a long way.

  • Don’t overthink it: If it tastes good, it is good. Mocktails are about having fun!

  • Stock your fridge with bubbles: Think club soda, tonic, ginger beer, or flavored sparkling waters.

  • Play with herbs: Mint, basil, rosemary, thyme — herbs add depth and freshness without extra sugar.
