Orange Cinnamon Mule

A cold drink that makes you feel warm! This Orange Cinnamon Mule Mocktail is the perfect sip for Fall and Winter. It’s got all the cozy, spicy notes you love this time of year, but in a refreshing, bubbly drink you can enjoy anytime.

If you love mules, this one’s going to be your new favorite. The combo of fresh orange juice, ginger beer, and homemade cinnamon simple syrup makes this mocktail taste like a warm hug in a cold glass. The cinnamon syrup brings just the right amount of spice, the orange adds brightness, and the ginger beer ties it all together with that signature zing.

Ingredients

• 2 oz fresh orange juice

• 7-8 oz ginger beer can

• 1/2 oz cinnamon simple syrup

• sprinkle of cinnamon

How To Make Cinnamon Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup sugar (white or brown — brown gives a deeper flavor)

  • 2–3 cinnamon sticks

  • Optional: a sprinkle of ground cinnamon

Add the water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved. Once it’s simmering, reduce the heat to low and let it gently simmer for 5–10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the stronger the cinnamon flavor will be. Remove from heat and let it sit for another 15–20 minutes to infuse even more flavor. Remove the cinnamon sticks and pour the syrup into a clean jar or bottle. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
