The Ultimate Fall Batch Mocktail for Every Fall Event

Looking for an easy, festive fall batch mocktail that you can make for a crowd? This Apple Cider Sparkling Mocktail is it.

Made with apple cider, NA sparkling wine, orange juice, and club soda, and garnished with apples, orange slices, and cinnamon sticks, this easy fall mocktail is the perfect drink to serve at everything from a fall baby shower or wedding to Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, tailgates, and fall

gatherings at home.

It looks beautiful in a pitcher, takes just a few minutes to put together, and gives everyone a festive drink to enjoy! There are no complicated ingredients or drink-making skills required.

Most importantly, this is the kind of mocktail that feels like a real event drink. It isn't just juice poured into a glass. The apple cider, bubbles, citrus, and cinnamon come together for a drink that feels special enough for a celebration.

There are so many reasons I love this drink for fall entertaining:

  • It serves a crowd: No shaking individual drinks while your guests are arriving.

  • It's easy to make: You only need a handful of ingredients.

  • It's perfect for fall events: Baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, tailgates, and fall hosting.

  • It's customizable. Use NA sparkling wine, 0.0% ABV sparkling wine, or swap it for sparkling water or club soda.

The Perfect Fall Mocktail for Baby Showers

If you're planning a fall baby shower, this is such a pretty drink to add to the menu.

Baby showers are one of my favorite occasions for a batch mocktail because you want something festive and celebratory that everyone can enjoy. Make a big pitcher and let guests serve themselves, or pour it into individual glasses and garnish each one with an apple or orange slice and a cinnamon stick.

Hosting tip: If you're having a larger shower, make a double or triple batch and keep the extra ingredients chilled until you're ready to add the bubbles.

A Beautiful Fall Wedding or Wedding Shower Mocktail

This also makes a gorgeous fall wedding mocktail or signature drink for a bridal or wedding shower.

I love the idea of serving this in a large glass beverage dispenser or pretty pitcher with the apple and orange slices floating throughout. Add cinnamon sticks, and you've got a drink that looks beautiful on a bar cart or beverage table.

For a wedding, you could even give it a cute signature drink name and serve it alongside other beverages so guests have a festive alcohol-free option.

It's especially fun for fall weddings because the flavors naturally fit the season without feeling overly themed.

Ingredients (serves 8-10)

  • 3 cups apple cider

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1 bottle NA sparkling wine (see Recommendations below)

  • 1 apple, sliced

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 3–4 cinnamon sticks

  • sparkling water or club soda

How To Make:

Pour 3 cups of chilled apple cider into a large pitcher. Add 1/2 cup orange juice. Add the sliced apple, orange slices, and cinnamon sticks to the pitcher. Let everything sit together for about 10–15 minutes before serving. This gives the fruit and cinnamon a little time to infuse the cider. Right before serving, pour in the bottle of NA sparkling wine. Gently stir and don't overmix. Pour over ice and garnish with an apple slice, orange slice, and cinnamon stick.

Prep Tips:

I recommend making the cider, orange juice, fruit, and cinnamon mixture ahead of time and keeping it chilled. Add the NA sparkling wine immediately before serving so the drink stays bubbly.

Why do some non-alcoholic wines have less than .5% alcohol?

Non-alcoholic wine is defined as wine that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). For comparison, this is a trace amount of alcohol, similar to what you’d find in some kombuchas or even certain fruit juices due to natural fermentation. It's made by creating traditional wine and then removing the alcohol, so you still get the complex flavors, aromas, and experience of wine, just without the intoxicating effects.

The labeling of non-alcoholic wine as "<0.5% ABV" is required because even though the alcohol is almost entirely removed during production, it's nearly impossible to eliminate every single trace of alcohol. A tiny amount may remain due to the fermentation process, which is a natural part of making wine.

Regulatory agencies, like the FDA in the U.S., require this disclaimer to ensure transparency and inform consumers who may want or need to avoid alcohol completely. This threshold (<0.5%) is considered so minimal that it doesn't produce intoxicating effects, making it safe for most people, including those who are sober or avoiding alcohol.

Some NA wines on the market are completely 0.0%, too!

NOTE: Please consult your health care provider if you have questions on consuming non-alcoholic wine that has less than .5% alcohol. This is NOT health advice.
